Primary Metals

  

W.R. Riggs has extensive experience in primary metals, from ore handling and carbon plants through casting and billet saws. We have designed and/or installed bulk terminal alumina unloading, storing, and re-loading, alumina material handling designs and upgrades. Our project experience in the green carbon plant includes complete anode die sets and die changing equipment. We have had many years of substation design, baghouse design and monitoring, and stack gas monitoring. Our extensive aluminum casthouse experience includes both hot and cold side systems, from cast furnace control and casting control to homo furnace design and control, as well as billet handling and saw installation.
